What we do

Persian Proverb

They who want the rose must respect the thorn

Our communities are facing an increasing number of social issues and barriers. In particular involving the disengaged is a central aim, as it is those groups who will tend to have most concerns and least trust or sense of a stake in society and institutions. Through our range of projects we aim to create educational materials, resources and opportunities to challenge these issues and look to remove barriers by identifying what works in our communities.

Cohesion relates to encouraging positive relationships between groups. Respect for diversity and meaningful interaction are seen as key within this. Our projects embody these principles and are a complimentary process to mainstream services, other social inclusion initiatives and employability and we will work in partnership with both public and private sector services to maximise funding and opportunities in order to create best practice.

Orange Tree is at the cutting edge of educational development and provides a modern twist on traditional learning whilst integrating new technology to ensure that outcomes impact on as many communities as possible.

Positive Trust Respect
  • Empowering people through knowledge, skills and social understanding
  • Supporting the most vulnerable and excluded in our society
  • Igniting the imagination and drive of our future stars

Projects

Frank Barron

Never take a person’s Dignity, it is worth everything to them, and nothing to you!

At Orange Tree we have identified a number of key projects we are currently nurturing, our aim is that they will all bare fruit and create meaning and lasting social inclusion and community cohesion.

Because our communities are diverse by nature, so is the need for our projects. However, each project has a core theme and that is to unit our communities and to make them a better place for us all to live "Community Matters".

In order to engage all of our communities we are using a range of interactive methods to deliver our project targets. Examples of these include: animation, group resources, on-line community hub, e-learning and smart phone apps.

Orange Tree recognises that there is a wide range of Third Sector organisations that supports the same community ethos and principles. As a result Orange Tree aims to use profits made from its projects to subsidise professional services or match private sector support/funding required by the Third Sector organisations.

The aim of the services are to ensure that these organisations are compliant with current legislation, are able to market and promote their services in a professional and competitive manner and to develop effective policies, processes and procedures.

Marketing / Design & Web

Provide experienced commercial services in marketing and design so that Third Sector organisations can promote their services and activities to raise their community profile and target client/customer effectively. Historically Third Sector organisations have had to focus financial resources on frontline activity and this has often meant that marketing material and organisational branding has been done in house. We aim to give them a commercial edge, enableing them to compete alongside larger, private and public sector organisations.

Our subsidised services can include: Design, Web Presence, Corporate Identity and Marketing Materials.

HR & Organisational Culture

Our subsidised services will ensure that small Third Sector organisations are legally compliant. We will review or implement effective policies, processes and practices and support senior managers to implement and cascade these effectively. We will provide particular support and emphasis on Equality and Diversity, through either equality standards, staff development or identifying best practice.
